Clavey River Watershed
Analysis
In early 2005 CREP
received a grant from the CALFED Bay-Delta Program for a Clavey River Watershed
Analysis. The multi-year watershed analysis is expected to be complete in late
2007 and it consists of several inter-related tasks, including:
-
Facilitation of CREP's collaborative watershed analysis and decisions process.
-
Community education and outreach to extend review and input opportunities.
-
An interdisciplinary science team for peer review and scientific guidance.
-
Reports prepared to describe Desired Conditions, Existing Conditions and
Recommended Management Actions for the watershed.
-
Publication of a Clavey River Watershed Analysis.
The CREP Watershed Analysis project will also
provide opportunities for community review and input to the draft reports. In
this way CREP intends to build community capacity for interested individuals and
organizations (stakeholders)
participation in future Clavey River watershed public land management. The project will use
a variety of means to inform and involve interested stakeholders, including, but
not limited to:
-
This website
with background information and accessible project documents.
-
An
email newsletter providing project updates and status information (claveynews@claveyriver.net).
-
A
stakeholders mailing list, both USPS and email distribution, for those
interested in receiving information and project updates.
-
Community
presentations, press releases, news interest articles and ads to call
attention to each draft report (three total) and the final Watershed Analysis.
-
Draft
project Reports made available to those interested in reviewing and providing
input to CREP decisions for the final Watershed Analysis.
